The City Council’s Green Infrastructure Strategy is now out for comments.
We know that members of the Canterbury Society are very concerned about the environment and about the provision of open space in the city; two members of the committee sit on the Canterbury Riverside Group. So we hope you will read and comment on the council’s plans.
The Green Infrastructure Strategy highlights the River Stour as a corridor for wildlife and leisure but it expresses concern about the lack of public open space and play areas in south and central Canterbury. What else is missing from the Strategy? What are your concerns about green space in the city?
