The majority of our members pay by standing order and we are most grateful to all of you who do that. However, if you pay yearly, now is the time to renew your subscription. The best way to do that is through our website.
What do you get when you join the Canterbury Society? Of course, members get this newsletter, which tells you about the talks, and walks and litter picks that we organise, as well as keeping you up to date with the consultations and planning proposals affecting the city. Members also get information about the Heritage Open Days and free access to one National Trust property per year.
However, your subscriptions also support us in carrying out lots of other activities all aimed at making Canterbury a better place in which to live. Recently we compiled a list of some of our achievements over the past few years. This is not a list of everything we have done, but rather of actions by the Canterbury Society, often working with others, which seemed to lead to a positive outcome.
Of course any achievement is always a joint venture, with other organisations and individuals entitled to share the glory. We cannot claim that we alone did all the good things on the list: in some we played a large part and in some a small part. You can see the List of Achievements by clicking here.
