Saving Kent’s Turtle Doves and Nightingales from extinction – a talk about the threats to the turtle doves and nightingales which survive in the Canterbury District – but are threatened with extinction. These iconic birds are no longer found across most of the UK but we can still hear the gentle purring of the turtle doves in Old Park and enjoy the sound of the nightingales singing in the Blean Woods.

This illustrated talk will be given by Nicole Khan of the RSPB and will also include the AGM of the Friends of Old Park and Chequers Wood (optional).
