The way we access healthcare in England is changing. The government’s new ‘Fit for the Future’ plan promises to revolutionise the NHS over the next decade, moving from a system many describe as ‘in critical condition’ to one that puts cutting-edge technology and prevention at its heart. If you have struggled to get a GP appointment, waited months for treatment, or felt frustrated by fragmented care, this ambitious roadmap offers solutions. This is not just another NHS reorganisation–it is a fundamental reimagining of healthcare that promises to make quality care more accessible, more personalised, and more focused on keeping you healthy rather than simply treating illness when it occurs.
Our key speaker, Dr Jane Townson OBE will give a talk explaining what this means for us and what benefits it will bring. She will also touch on the reforms proposed for social care. Jane is CEO of the Homecare Association and has extensive experience in the health, social care and technology sectors. Her first career was in international leadership roles in research and development in ICI, AstraZeneca and Syngenta, where she was global head of bioscience research. She then established her own business providing consultancy and training on the link between lifestyle factors and public health, working with private individuals and public sector organisations.
