The Canterbury Society is looking for a new Honorary Treasurer to help us manage our modest finances and support our work making Canterbury a better place to live, work, and play.
We’re a small but active civic charity, run entirely by volunteers, and we’re known for our warm and welcoming committee. Whether it’s litter picks, public talks, local campaigns or heritage projects — we care deeply about our city.
Our long-serving Treasurer is retiring after seven years, and we’d love to hear from someone local who enjoys light-touch financial admin (spreadsheets, reviewing bank transactions, occasional reporting) and would be happy to be part of our friendly team.
You don’t need to be a qualified accountant – just organised, trustworthy, and confident with basic figures. Support and handover will be provided.
