A Festive Fundraising Evening for Canterbury Food Bank
Join us on Tuesday 9 December, 6.15–8.30pm at St Andrew’s United Reformed Church, Watling Street, for a special evening of dramatic readings and commentary by Professor Malcolm Andrews, one of the UK’s leading Dickens scholars.
This entertaining and thought-provoking event – titled “Dickens on Respectability and Englishness” – will explore some of the most vivid characters and social themes from Charles Dickens’ work.

The evening will be opened by The Sheriff of Canterbury, Cllr Stephanie Jupe.
All proceeds go to support Canterbury Food Bank, which has seen demand rise by around 20% year-on-year, now serving over 120,000 meals annually.
