Hales Place Chapel Public Meeting
Pauline Walters from CHAS (Canterbury Historical & Archaeological Society) would like to invite you to a public meeting about the future of Hales Place Chapel, Tenterden Drive, Canterbury, Kent.
Canterbury City Council has recently invested funding to repair the roof lantern and
to carry out a structural survey. This work has been undertaken to help identify the
next steps required to maintain the building and bring it up to a suitable standard for
public access and use.
We are now holding a public meeting to bring together potential interested parties
and members of the wider community to discuss the way forward for the chapel.
Our vision is to establish a group that will oversee the day-to-day running of the
building, support fundraising efforts, and ensure the chapel is well maintained. The
aim is for the chapel to be open to the public and available for community activities
and formal events. Ultimately, we hope the chapel will become a beacon of joy and
hope within the community.
