The Canterbury Historical & Archaeological Society (CHAS) have organised this event on 1st June led by Tim Jones CCCU, Dr Emma Hanna Portsmouth University and Helen Jarrett, Sydney’s granddaughter. They will show excerpts from Bligh’s cine films of life and events in Canterbury District in the 1920’s and 1930’s.
Entry is free but they hope for a minimum donation of £5 per person to raise the funds for a blue plaque commemorating Sydney Bligh. Doors open at 7pm for 7.30pm start.
