The Canterbury Society is seeking a volunteer for a key role on our Committee: Membership Secretary.
This role is to support the Society’s charitable work, civic engagement, and heritage activity across Canterbury and typically requires a modest monthly time commitment.
The Membership Secretary maintains and develops the Society’s membership base including:

Managing the membership database

Monitoring renewals and new applications

Liaising with the Treasurer on subscriptions and Gift Aid

Responding to member enquiries
-
Supporting membership reporting and engagement
We are looking for someone who is:

Organised and detail-focused
-
Comfortable with digital systems (WordPress, Mailchimp or similar)
-
Interested in member engagement and growth
Time commitment: approximately 4–6 hours per month.
